Tandberg Educational at BETT 2000
The Bett show is the most prestigious event in the U.K's educational calendar, with last years show, Bett '99 attracting 360 exhibiting companies and over twenty-two thousand visitors, so it was quite rightly predicted that Bett 2000 would be even bigger.
For Tandberg Educational the show was even more exciting as it presented an excellent opportunity to unveil a number of new products. Mediahouse, which enables students to access resources, and deliver homework and coursework via the Internet from any computer which is connected to the Internet. The latest version of Imperata, the software solution which allows teachers to fully control multiple student PC's from their own PC.
The Tandberg Educational stand was specifically designed in order to fully utilise the space available and to allow the best possible presentation of the products on demonstration. The stand was divided into three "Learning Zones," the "Web Learning Zone" containing Mediahouse, the "Network Learning Zone" displaying the software solutions Divace Solo, Library Pilot, Partner Tools, and Imperata and the hardware solution CSS Net and a final zone titled the "Media Centre Learning Zone" housing ICM and Divace Duo, which make up the Tandberg Educational language system.
Dividing the stand into three separate "Learning Zones" enabled clear definition between products. Visitors could therefore visit the clearly identified zone in which they were specifically interested. Thus visitors could quickly and easily be given the information and demonstrations on the products in which they had a specific interest.
The system seemed to work, as Bett 2000 was extremely profitable for Tandberg Educational, the stand was very popular, with many visitors and a great deal of genuine interest in the products on display, creating many new sales leads as well as consolidating existing leads.
