The most advanced multimedia center in South America was presented at the De La Inmaculada school in Peru
Father Ricardo Morales, Director of the De La Inmaculada school welcomed the school directors, university authorities and language teachers who attended in great numbers the presentation of the TANDBERG Multimedia Center, made by Divace Oy of Finland, installed at the school by Penta International, who have represented Divace's TANDBERG branded labs in Peru for over 18 years.
The Ambassador of Finland, Mr. Mikko Pyhälä, told the audience that his country contributes to the world of education with its advanced technology in the telecommunications field and specially in developing learning systems for education.
Mr. Tuomo Lehtovirta, Regional Manager of Divace's TANDBERG EDUCATIONAL branded products for Latin America, gave a presentation of the multimedia center. He pointed out that this is the most advanced language learning system installed in South America, with Audio and Video sources, DVD, CD ROM, Multimedia, Internet and Cable TV, which allow the teachers to develop their classes in the areas of listening, speaking, writing, reading and comprehension. The system is open and allows the use of any language teaching method. In addition, also classes in other subjects, such as Physics, Chemistry, Arts, Mathematics, can be given with the help of the multimedia center.
Mr. Lehtovirta also presented the new ELICE language lab, which allows the teacher to control the class with one single computer which is connected to the student audio panels by a connecting unit, giving a high sound quality. The cost of the ELICE is low and it will be the audio-active language lab of the future.
Dr. Daniel Arteaga, the Director of Penta International, organizer of this event, thanked the director of the school for his trust in their company, the Ambassador for honoring the event and the participants for attending.

Embajador de Finlandia Sr. Mikko Pyhälä, con ocasión de la presentación del CENTRO MULTIMEDIA de la marca TANDBERG EDUCATIONAL de Divace Oy, Finlandia, instalado en su prestigioso Colegio por la empresa PENTA INTERNATIONAL, representantes de la marca TANDBERG en el Perú desde hace más de 18 años.
El Rvdo. Padre Morales dio la bienvenida a un gran número de asistentes, entre los que se encontraban Directores de Colegios, Autoridades Universitarias y Profesores de Idiomas, dando a conocer que su Colegio está brindando a su alumnado un gran impulso en la enseñanza de Idiomas y con beneplácito daba a conocer el uso de estas nuevas tecnologías de vanguardia para el beneficio de otras Instituciones Educativas.
El Exlmo. Embajador de Finlandia, agradeció la invitación y dio a conocer al concurrido auditorio que su país estaba aportando al mundo de la Educación, su reconocido avance tecnológico en el campo de las Telecomunicaciones y en especial en el desarrollo de Sistemas Didácticos concebidos para la enseñanza, ya que siendo Finlandia un país pequeño con un clima difícil y escasos recursos naturales, tuvieron que investigar e impulsar los recursos del conocimiento, basados en la eficiente educación de su pueblo, razón por la cual felicitó al Director del Colegio DE LA INMACULADA por esta loable iniciativa que beneficiará de igual forma al desarrollo del PERU.
El Ing. Tuomo Lehtovirta, Gerente de Ventas para Sudamérica de la marca TANDBERG EDUCATIONAL, fue el encargado de hacer la presentación del Centro Multimedia y manifestó que esta implementación constituía el Sistema mas avanzado de su generación que se ha instalado en Sudamérica, el mismo que cuenta con Sistemas para la ENSEÑANZA DE IDIOMAS con fuentes de Audio, Video, DVD, Cd Rom, Multimedia, Internet, TV Cable, las cuales permiten al profesor desarrollar las actividades para perfeccionar las habilidades de: Escuchar, Hablar, Escribir, Leer y Comprender. Dicho Centro Multimedia es un Sistema abierto que permite el uso de cualquier Método de Enseñanza de Idiomas, contenido en diferentes soportes. Además se puede impartir la enseñanza de múltiples asignaturas, tales como Física, Química, Arte, Lenguaje, Matemáticas, etc.
Asimismo, el Ing. Lehtovirta presentó el nuevo LABORATORIO DE IDIOMAS Audioactivo denominado ELICE, que brinda al Profesor el control de la enseñanza a través de una sola Computadora, conectada a una Central de Audio (Rack) que permite la interacción de los estudiantes, resaltando la alta calidad en el sonido y maniobrabilidad, con la característica especial de tener un bajo costo; por estas razones ELICE es considerado el Laboratorio de Idiomas Audio-Activo del futuro.
Para finalizar el Dr. Daniel Arteaga, Gerente de PENTA INTERNATIONAL, empresa organizadora del evento, agradeció al Director del Colegio por la confianza depositada en su empresa, al Exlmo. Embajador por su deferencia y a los distinguidos participantes por su gentil asistencia.
